prpplague, ping, got pxe booting to work, only issue is that u-boot sets up uses the ehci and when the kernel driver tries to init the ehci it vomits up a page or two of errors, then the boot continues, but alas the ehci doesn't work when booted.

- [19:17:24] <prpplague>

- [19:17:38] <RoyK>
probably the latter

prpplague, most likely the ubuntu/linero kernel that rsalveti was using in the how to doesn't have that issue. but I got it going wihtout having to have the ubuntu-pxe-server-dns stuff, all you need is a tftp server and a bit of creative boot.scr editing.
- [19:18:48] <prpplague>
GPSFan: dandy
- [19:18:51] <RoyK>
and for 'open mobile' I can live with most things, I just don't see the reason for not having root on my own phone
- [19:19:20] <rsalveti>
GPSFan: sure, pxe is basically tftp and a config file parsing :-)
- [19:19:35] <prpplague>

GPSFan: shh, don't tell rsalveti that, he'll get a big head......

no

hey! I'm using ubuntu 11.04 on my panda and installed the ubuntu-omap4-extras package. however, I can't get bluetooth to work and it seems like I lack some video codec stuff, too, since 720p doesn't play back fluently.

regarding the bluetooth thing: I found that I can't install the package "ubuntu-omap4-extras-connectivity". is that normal on natty?

I'm trying to get something slimmer than ubuntu with all the gnome stuff with rootstock now
- [22:38:16] <axle>
will --seed xubuntu-desktop work or do I have to specify the linux-ti-omap package as well?
- [22:38:48] <axle>
note: I'm running rootstock natively on the panda
